A brand is the set of expectations, memories, stories and relationships that, taken together, account for a consumer’s decision to choose one product or service over another.

Tips for small or medium business, If you want to make a lasting impression on the target audience of yours, making the right decisions when it comes to brand identity is crucial. Here are some important brand identity elements that should be considered

The Brand Name

Name is not a visual element then why did we listed it first because this is what leads the brand and every thing else follows. The name is that element which can be made a logo (like in our case) which gives a meaning and symbolises some thing in audions mind. So its very important to have good brand name that have great meaning or a great story behind it and should mean the way the auditions reads it and not what you thought while naming and also should be able to pronounce it well.

A consistent visual style

All the elements in the brand should follow a consistent pattern throughout visual style. Like, for example, a decision is made to design a brand identity that is visually rugged and robust, then this style should be followed and applied to all visual elements. Exceptions are applicable for certain things like advertising campaigns, but the overall visual brand identity should always be uniform. That is why one should follow visual style guides to maintain consistency in the brand identity.

Logo your brand ideology

The logo gives the second impression after brand name the logo is the flagship image of any brand. Logos speak volumes about the type of your business, your mission and the services you offer. A business without a logo may not make an impact on its target audience. The logo is the most essential and valuable visual element of your brand as much as your brand name it self, so keep this in mind when allocating your branding budget and hiring the right professionals.

Follow the color pattern

Colors can some times play an integral role in brand recognition and the brand loyalty, as in the case of nokia(blue color). They help us distinguish between competing brands and show our philosophy. Knowing this, considerable amount of research should be carried out before deciding on to the final brand color or palette. Like in our case we use red and black and white.

Select the right typography

Typography concerns the style and appearance of any lettering or fonts used as part of your visual brand identity. These characteristics can have a significant influence over people’s purchasing decisions and help to further emphasize the message of your brand. Typeface and font choice can affect whether the right message is being communicated and these should conform to the overall visual brand style. Wrong choices can be disastrous, for example a playful font such as the ever-popular Comic Sans would not be suitable for a serious brand image.
